This morning while I was in front front field tending the newly sprouted veggies a lady out for a morning walk stopped to thank me for what we do for the community. What I want you to know is how blessed we are to have our feet planted at a spot in the world where we can make a difference. We know exactly how lucky we are.
Its a odd twist of fate that put us here. For most of our lives we lived much like anyone else does. Go to work, make dinner, wash dishes, raise kids, try to have a hobby, rinse and repeat. You might get a thank you every once in a while from a customer but for the most part the only thank you that you can rely on was in the form of a paycheck. Our circles consisted of people we worked with and close family, for the most part we never knew our neighbors much.
Cant say exactly why the Lord put us in this spot, but he did. He built us all our lives to have the exact right set of skills to be able to take on this task of having a farm, though we had never farmed before. He made us humble by letting us fail much in our lives and learn that its only a data point on a long life of learning. All glory to him or whoever runs this crazy universe because we sure dont. Thank you all for changing our lives. We had nothing much to do with it other than to follow the wind at our backs. And we will keep doing it as long as the wind blows.
